While there is always crossover between the sworn and non-sworn world, our LE courses are built specifically to apply to the mission, tactics, policies and environment police officers face today. In addition to our core courses listed on we have decadesof experience creating customized training courses for LE agencies.
A "hosted" training course is exactly what it sounds like. Your agency acts as a "host" at your facility for our instructors to put on a class. You provide the facility and assist with some basic logistics - providing basic range supplies, helping to advertise the class locally, providing information for students on lodging and food, and serving as a point of contact between your agency and Critical Impact Group.
We take care of all the registration, all the training, and all the communication with students. The best part is, host agencies can get FREE TRAINING for their officers. The number of free spots a host agency can get depends on the range facilities, location, course type and number of students a course can accept. Generally speaking, agencies most often receive 1-2 free training slots in each course they host and can receive discounts if they want to send additional officers.
Host courses can be open enrollment (open to the public), or restricted enrollment (i.e. LE/MIL only). While this is very popular option for police agencies, there are limitations based on our scheduling, range sizes, locations and more. It is best to contact us well in advance of the dates you would like to host a course, typically 6-12 months out.
With a contract course, instead of registering individual officers through our website, your agency simply pays a flat course fee to come in to your facility and put on a training. Based on the training course and resources, we set a maximum number of students for the class. These students can come from just your agency, or they can be anyone your invite or allow to attend. For instance, two agencies can partner together to each send officers to a training and split the cost.
The advantage of a contract course is your agency can train a larger number of your officers at a significantly reduced price per student. This is a popular type of training agencies use for rolling out new material to their instructors or officers (i.e. red dot pistol training), specialized unit training (i.e. SWAT trainings) or general skill-building topics that provide officers with a "fresh look" at an old training topic (patrol building clearing, patrol rifle, firearms remediation, etc).
Contract courses can be custom built based on your agency's needs - or selected / modified from any of the training courses in our current course inventory.
